Jonathan Jaech (pronounced “Jake”) is an attorney residing in Los Angeles, and member of the California Bar since 1997, when he graduated from the University of California at Hastings College of The Law.  Prior to that, he worked as a mechanical engineer for Boeing, the University of California Space Sciences Lab, and Orcon Corporation, at that time a manufacturing company in Union City, California.  He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1988, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

California has been his home since 1983.  He has lived in Fresno, the Bay Area, and Southern California, and visited nearly every area of the state.  He now resides in Los Angeles with his loving wife.  He is a proud father of two, and stepfather of two.

Jonathan has been a registered Libertarian since early adulthood, and active in the Libertarian Party and other coalitions for increasing human liberty and justice since 2012.  He was elected Southern Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of California in March, 2014.  He founded the Voluntary Law Development Association (www.vlda.org) in 2013, to promote the development of voluntary law for private dispute resolution, to which he contributes articles under the pen name of Jonny Stryder.

He is running for California Attorney General in 2014 to advance and promote libertarian ideas for peaceful self-governance, and provide voters an option to conventional politicians and political parties.

Here’s a couple of photos of the candidate from the Libertarian candidate rally, April 22 in Sacramento.  Bottom photo shows the candidate with Art Tuma and Janice Bodsen, Libertarian candidates for other offices in 2014.  Photos compliments of Alan Pyeatt:
