The Libertarian Party of California (LPC) has officially endorsed my candidacy for Attorney General in the California June 3rd 2014 primary race. The endorsement was by action of the Central Committee comprised of all delegates attending the convention, without opposition.
The same body nominated and elected me as Southern Vice-Chair. I’m honored and humbled by both the election and the nomination, and look forward to working with people inside and outside of the Libertarian Party to advance the cause of justice and freedom in California.
The Libertarian Party of California is the only organized political party in this state that requires, as a condition of membership, affirmation of the non-aggression principle renouncing initiation of violence for political or social goals. For more information, please visit our website.
The Libertarian Party of Los Angeles County (LPLAC) has officially endorsed me for Attorney General. Thank you LPLAC! Since I am on the executive committee, I had an opportunity to vote to endorse myself along with other Libertarians running for office. I was not tempted to vote “no.”
LPLAC has a website at www.lplac.org. However, this site will be superseded soon and is out of date. Information regarding local region meetings can also be found at www.liberty66.org and Meetup.
Dr. Pamela J. Brown, Professor of Economics, Pierce College, Woodland Hills:
“As Attorney General, Jonathan Jaech will be a strong defender of personal freedom, economic liberty, due process and privacy rights. He also understands the importance of defending our environment from polluters. Finally, he is a supporter of our 2nd Amendment rights. Sounds like the “perfect candidate” to me. Libertarians, Tea Party members, and all those who care about California are urged to support Mr. Jonathan Jaech for Attorney General!”
For more information on Dr. Brown, please see http://faculty.piercecollege.edu/brown/. I’m very gratified to receive her endorsement!
At its monthly business meeting last Saturday, the San Bernardino County Libertarian Party endorsed my candidacy for Attorney General. I’m very proud to receive their endorsement. As is often the case, San Bernardino is leading the way. If you are located in the “Inland Empire” or anywhere in Southern California and interested in political activism for a freer society, you must attend one of their meetings. Make some new friends and allies, it’s a lively group! I am scheduled to speak at their May business meeting on Voluntary Law and will no doubt provide an update on the AG campaign, as well. http://sbclp.org/
Richard Winger, editor and publisher of Ballot Access News and the nation’s leading expert on ballot access legal issues, has endorsed my candidacy for California Attorney General in 2014. Richard is a lifelong Californian and long time Libertarian activist. In 1985, Richard was instrumental in the founding of the Coalition For Free And Open Elections. I’m very honored and gratified to receive his endorsement.
James P. Gray, national Libertarian Party nominee and candidate for Vice President in 2012, has endorsed my candidacy for California Attorney General in 2014. Jim is well known for his principled and tireless advocacy on behalf of legalizing marijuana and other compassionate libertarian issues, and is author of no less than four books touching on law and libertarian policy. Currently, he is active in the Our America Initiative with former running mate Gary Johnson, besides his professional practice as a mediator and arbitrator. I’m very honored and gratified to receive his endorsement.
